This is the accountability page for my Overambitious Global Reading Challenge Series (which you can read here, btw).

In summer 2018, I set myself the challenge of reading a woman, femme, or non-binary writer from every country on earth (all 197 of them). The goal is to complete the challenge by the end of 2019, so…wish me luck! I’d highly encourage you to read along with me too. Women are, statistically, translated far less than men and, as you’d imagine, the majority of this list is made up of women in translation.

If you’d like to head to the individual posts, which I first organised alphabetically and then rejigged to be in geographical groupings, click the links below:

The Americas + Caribbean | Asia | North Africa + the Middle East | West, Central + Southern Africa | Europe | Australasia + Oceania

Alternatively, check out my alphabetically-organised, all-recommendations, no-filler list below. If there’s a tick (✓) next to it, it means I’ve read that particular book, and if there’s a heart (♥) it means I loved it!
